Stud Males |
|
Nemisis has his first batch of cria on the ground, with approx 50% males to females, they are showing lovely stylish fleeces with an incredibly soft handle. See pictures below. He has a beautiful superfine, lustrous, bundling fleece with defined crimp from skin to tip on a lovely frame & with excellent confirmation. Check out his fleece stats- ultrafine for 3 years! His grandsire is the famous Jolimont Conquistador, known for his density & his granddam was still only 20 micron on her 10th fleece! His dam held her micron well & his dam’s sire was Jolimont Romeo, who was still holding at 25 micron at over 14 years of age. It appears Nemisis has inherited these valuable genetics. Fleece Statistics 1st Fleece 2004: Unknown - Not tested by breeder 2nd Fleece Sep. 2005: 16 Micron, 3.7SD, 23.2 CV, 99.8% CF 3rd Fleece Oct. 2006: 17.5 Micron, 3.6SD, 20.4CV, 100%CF - 3 point grid test results 4th Fleece Oct. 2007: 19.9 Micron, 4.1SD, 20.5CV, 97.8%CF |

Giovanni’s 6th Fleece |
|
Giovanni is a son of the famous Brigantine well known for his lack of medulation & ability to maintain a fine micron with age, and grandson of the renowned Highlander, both famous stud males renowned for their positive impact on the Australian Alpaca industry, his grand dam is the famous Maid of the Mist. All male cria that Giovanni’s mother has produced have been of a quality sufficient to become stud males, an indication that she carries quality genetics. Giovanni at 7 years of age is still a handsome stylish looking male with a neat well balanced solid frame & displays a fleece with defined crimp & staples as well as a lack of medulation, and is retaining a fine micron & good SD as he ages. He has a pleasant temperament & is a delight to work with.
We believe he will compliment our breeding goals of maintaining a low micron & style over time, but add further density & reduce medulation in our herd without sacrificing what we have already achieved. Giovanni has already produced ultrafine cria.
