Baby alpacas are called 'cria's.
They average 6-8kg at birth & are usually up & walking within an hour of being born. They are very playful & enjoy racing around the paddock as fast as they can!
Oak Grove Farm It is an easy 15 minute drive from Bega & only 20 minutes from the beaches of the beautiful south coast.

The alpaca, llama & other members of the South American camelid family have existed for thousands of years & can be seen depicted in the cave paintings at Toquepala, Peru.
They were used for fleece & as pack animals, as well as food & symbols of fertility. |
